It's Time to Grab a Ticket on the Spirit Airlines Dumbo Plane
Because Dumbo should not be the only one with the ability to fly, the Dumbo plane will get you up in the air.
You’ve head about the Hello Kitty plane, right? Well, you may not have ears to fly with like Dumbo, but you can book a ticket on the Spirit Airlines Dumbo plane. Disney and Spirit Airlines have teamed up to promote the upcoming live-action Dumbo from director Tim Burton by releasing a Dumbo-themed plane that will carry passengers across the United States.
Climb Aboard the Spirit Airlines Dumbo Plane
The Spirit Airlines Dumbo plane is an Airbus A321 that is adorned with a larger-than-life image of Dumbo. The unveiling of the Dumbo plane and its decal-wrapping process occurred at the Spirit Airlines Detroit maintenance hanger on March 6, and of course, there’s video (see below). The Spirit Airlines Dumbo plane joins the Fit Fleet over at Spirit – the most fuel-deficient aircraft fleet in the country.
Dumbo Plane Takes Its First Flight
Just as Dumbo will take his first flight in Tim Burton’s live-action Dumbo, releasing in theaters March 29, 2019, the Dumbo plane had its first flight from Detroit Metro Airport to Orlando International Airport. The Dumbo plane will at first be on future flights between Detroit, Orlando, San Juan, Fort Lauderdale, and Baltimore/Washington DC before it travels across the country for the next two months in celebration of the release of the live-action Dumbo movie.

Dumbo Synopsis
Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.
