Update, April 3, 2012: New clip is out via Maxim Lockout. Watch it now!
On April 20, 2012, “TAKE NO PRISONERS.” Or so says the new poster for Lockout, a film presented by Luc Besson who has brought the movie going world such classics as Leon: The Professional, Taken, and The Fifth Element. Besson knows one thing well when it comes to the movies he writes, directs, or stars in…action, and lots of it. Lockout looks to have enough action to keep everyone more than pleased, and to give their heart a good pumping.

Starring Guy Pearce (Memento, Prometheus, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, The Hurt Locker) and Maggie Grace (Taken, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn), Lockout takes Luc Besson back into science fiction, with the help of Directors James Mather and Stephen St. Leger, to a world where the most dangerous criminals are sent to an outer orbit prison. The prisoners have managed to take control of what was considered to be the most secure prison and it is up to Pearce’s character Snow to infiltrate the prison and rescue the held hostage Emilie (Maggie Grace). The trailer for the film makes it look like a great deal of action-filled fun in a new science fiction world. Everyone should consider marking April 20th on their calendar as a day to go to the movies for some Besson goodness.
Lockout Brief Synopsis: Falsely convicted ex-government agent Snow (Guy Pearce) must rescue the President’s daughter (Maggie Grace) from an outer space maximum security prison after it is taken over by violent inmates.
*The new poster for the film screams 80s action-movie awesomeness (and no one is complaining).*
