December 2011 brought a great deal of new trailers for films releasing as soon as January 2012 all the way into Summer 2012.  Welcome back Kate Beckinsale and your spandex/pleather wearing self in Underworld: Awakening!  Three of the most anticipated films trailers finally arrived, The Dark Knight Rises, Prometheus, and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, causing a flurry of excitement for moviegoers everywhere.  Then there were some less than exciting additions to the trailer universe, including Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted and The Three Stooges (what looks to be the first train wreck of the new year). 

For fans of Jean Claude Van Damme, The Expendables 2 trailer arrived--and along with it all of the middle-aged testosterone filled cast it provides, with some young-ins thrown in for good measure--not that we are complaining by any means.  The time also arrived to say hello to a forgotten film franchise with Men In Black 3; again, we're not complaining as the former films made Summer's past a great deal more entertaining.  2012 looks to be a huge year for movies, and December 2011's trailer releases only made the New Year even sweeter.
