Film Review
Production
If it were not for the subpar performances, ridiculous story, cheap thrills, and poor special effects this may have been a decent film. Then again, that is just about everything you expect from a film like this, and it fails on every level.
Special Effects
When you are trying to make the viewer believe a head is turning upside down from the neck, or a man has his whole body contorted and can still walk, you should make it look like the parts of the body are attached to one another. They do not look that way in this film. The effects are so bad they are laughable, and completely take away from the
Scary Factor
There are moderate frights throughout the movie but they are primarily expected and signaled by loud screeching sounds which only cheapens the scene. If possession of small children scares you then you will have seconds of moderate fear but otherwise expect to simply stare at the screen and wonder when the movie will get scarier or provide a thrill, and then realize when it is over it never did.
Uniqueness
A Jewish exorcism? Indeed unique. The Holocaust angle of the film...even more so.
